Warranty conditions

GENERAL TERMS OF WARRANTY PROVISION

Warranty service for products of the “UMa” furniture factory is carried out in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine on consumer protection.

This warranty is provided by the manufacturer as an addition to the consumer rights established by the current legislation of Ukraine. According to Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Rights Protection”, the consumer has the right to exchange or return the purchased product within 14 days of purchase, provided the following conditions are met:

  • Only new goods that have not been used and show no signs of use (scratches, chips, abrasions, or other damages) are subject to return or exchange.

  • The item has not been assembled or installed and retains its original appearance.

  • The original packaging and full set of components are preserved.

  • Labels, instructions, and manufacturer markings are intact.

  • A receipt, specification and/or invoice, and proof of payment must be presented to confirm the purchase. To obtain a refund, the consumer must return the purchased item along with the receipt, invoice, contract, and order form.

Non-refundable items include:

  • Discounted items;

  • Assembled or damaged items after purchase;

  • Mattresses (without packaging, with broken packaging, or used);

  • Custom-made or special-order items.

The manufacturer guarantees free elimination of production defects caused by poor-quality raw materials, materials, or manufacturing technology violations.

If any defects are found in the product, the Buyer must contact the Seller’s representative at the place of purchase.

Claims regarding product quality during the warranty period will only be considered upon presentation of the defective item and its product passport with appropriate marks in the warranty section found at the end of the passport.

Warranty obligations include the repair or replacement (if repair is impossible) of defective parts, mechanisms, and low-quality materials with manufacturing defects, as well as related loading/unloading and assembly work.

Warranty repairs are carried out within the time limits established by law. If the materials required for the repair are not available at the company, the repair time may be extended for the delivery period of those materials from the supplier, and this timeframe is to be agreed upon with the Buyer in advance.

During warranty repair, the warranty period is extended only for the time the product is under repair.

ATTENTION!

Furniture for warranty service is accepted only if it is clean and properly packaged (corrugated cardboard and film)!

“The UMa factory is not responsible for items made using fabric outside the warehouse program (warehouse fabrics are listed at the end of the catalog).”

WARRANTY SERVICE TERMS

The warranty takes effect from the actual date the customer receives the furniture or, if specified in the warranty card, from the date of sale, and is valid for the following period:

  • For domestic use — 18 months from the manufacturing date;

  • For use in commercial or public settings (offices, institutions, hotels, dormitories) — 12 months from the manufacturing date.

Lift mechanisms — according to the supplier’s warranty period, up to 12 months.

Warranty service is provided only upon presentation of the product passport with all required entries at the place of purchase.

During the warranty period, if a malfunction occurs due to the Manufacturer’s fault and this is confirmed, the warranty is valid.

The furniture must be used and maintained according to the instructions in the product passport.

The warranty repair timeframe depends on the availability of required materials from the Manufacturer and is agreed upon separately (typically between 5 to 10 days from the date of receiving the item for repair).

The Seller may perform a primary inspection and fix minor issues independently.

If the Seller cannot resolve the problem, a Claim Report is created, and the furniture factory representative is contacted.

During factory repair, the Buyer has no right to demand temporary replacement furniture.

UMa factory is liable to the Consumer only if the defect occurred through its fault. If the defect resulted from improper furniture use or storage in violation of GOST 19917:2016 requirements (overloading, tears, contamination, misuse, etc.), UMa factory is not liable.

Furniture with defects caused by the Consumer may be repaired by the Manufacturer at the Customer’s expense.
