The Dolphin (Orpheus) transformation mechanism is reliable and easy to use.
Under the sofa seat, there’s a platform on hinges attached to the frame.
To transform it, pull the handle located under the seat, which slides out a platform with an additional sleeping space. Then lift the sleeping area with this handle (assisted by a built-in gas lift) and set it in place.

Advantages of the Dolphin mechanism:

• uses a wooden frame

Things to keep in mind:

• the wooden frame should be well-polished to allow smooth movement of the pull-out platform
• the pull-out section should have rubberized wheels, or use silicone/rubber pads
• the sleeping surface consists of two parts joined in the middle
• if the seat and pull-out mattress fillings are different, a slight height difference may be noticeable

Foam is an eco-friendly material with high elasticity, durability, and hypoallergenic properties. It adds firmness and comfort. It is less bouncy and provides a firmer sleeping surface for those who prefer more support.

Zig-zag springs (serpentine springs) are used in the base of soft elements, mainly in the seat. They’re made from durable galvanized steel shaped into curves under high temperature. These springs are attached to the frame crosswise using hinge strips or steel clips. Their snake-like appearance gives them their name.

Non-elastic webbing is highly practical, as it does not stretch. It helps furniture maintain its shape and always look fresh. It has the highest stiffness among webbings, making it a great addition to elastic types for optimal tension. Suitable for backs, seats, and armrests.
